David F. KingDavid King is the owner of David F. King, CPA, P.C., an Illinois professional corporation. After earning a Bachelor of Science degree with a Major in Accounting from Brigham Young University in May 1967, he joined the firm of Peat, Marwick, Mitchell & Co. (known today as KPMG Peat Marwick) in Los Angeles, where he specialized in taxation. In 1973, David formed a partnership with another Certified Public Accountant in Burbank, California. That firm grew over the next thirty years and today is known as King, King, Alleman & Jensen Accountancy Corporation. He served as managing partner of KKA&J from 1984 until 2003 when he and his wife, Joyce, moved to Nauvoo, Illinois. After the move to Illinois was completed, David formed a new professional corporation and developed a new accounting practice in Nauvoo. David has provided a new prospective in accounting services in this small Mid-West community while also serving clients from coast to coast via the Internet and telephone.

David has worked in all facets of public accounting. He has gained a wealth of valuable experience over the years and stays current on income tax laws through continuing education. David assists clients with the proper planning of their long-term and short-term financial goals. His professional associations include the American Institute of Certified Public Accountants (AICPA), Illinois CPA Society, and the California Society of Certified Public Accountants. David holds CPA licenses in both Illinois and California.

David feels that the most rewarding aspect of his work is the close relationships he has built over the years with clients, many who have become good friends. Emphasis in client service and technical quality continues to be a trademark of the ongoing effort David makes to meet the needs of clients.

Raised in Burbank, California, he graduated Burbank High School in 1960 before attending Brigham Young University. While in college, David interrupted his studies for two and one-half years to serve his church in the Netherlands.

David has, over the past thirty plus years, been active in community affairs and is currently a member of the Nauvoo Chamber of Commerce. While living in California, he was a member of the Kiwanis Club of Burbank and served as President of the organization in 1984. As a youth, David earned his Eagle Scout Award and was awarded the Silver Beaver Award in 1989 by the Verdugo Hills Council for his service as an adult leader in the Boys Scouts of America. He served as President of the Verdugo Hills Council in 2001.

In addition to his accounting career, he is committed to family, church, and community affairs. David and Joyce are the proud parents of six children and six grandchildren.
